Writing Killer Sales Copy!

When blogging for money, I have said it many times … you need to know your readers!  Know who they are and what they buy online.  This is important when writing killer sales copy too so you can sell them benefits vs the features.  How do you know, what does and doesn't, benefit your blog readers, if you don't know enough about their online habits?

The way to increase sales is by eliminating any risk that could possibly halt the sale.  You can do that with some kind of guarantee and if it's a money back guarantee, making it as long as possible.  Believe it or not, studies have shown better sales for longer "money back guarantees" and less returns.  Research it, you'll see it's true.

A must have when writing killer sales copy is a killer headline.  You worked hard to get that visitor to your blog, now you have to make them want to read about your product!  You don't have much time to catch the attention of your visitor before they leave your blog for bigger and better things.

Another point to keep in mind is how many scams are on the internet today.  A good idea is to gain some instant credibility by showing proof that you know what you're talking about.  How?  prove beyond all doubt – through screenshots, testimonials or even video proof – that your product/service really does what it says it will.  Adding this info as early as possible will increase sales.

Following these tips will have you writing killer sales copy on your blog for money in no time.

PS: I would like to add that throwing in the element of SCARCITY also tends to works wonders.

Examples of Niche Products

Examples of niche market products and how to think outside the box …  You should never limit yourself to only one niche product when you blog for money, there is never ever just one product.  You have to think about the market you are operating in.

Hair loss: hair replacement systems, wigs, hats, dome wax
Hemorrhoids: ointments, padded donut cushions, meditation tapes

When it comes to finding your niche market products, you need to think outside the box.  Think about cross promoting by promoting other type of products/services that could be beneficial for your niche market.

Examples of niche products that are "the beneficial type" would be something like this one in the "stop snoring" niche.  Do you know what causes snoring?  FACT: People with excess weight have snoring problems much more often, than thin people.

WOW, now you can try to sell the snoring niche weight loss products too!  I hear you saying … "that's so easy", and you are right, it is easy.  All you have to do is think about who you are trying to sell to.

Blogging for money means knowing your audience.  Do your research right for your targeted readers and then examples of niche market products will fall in your lap.  Hope you found this post helpful.  Enjoy!

Beginning Steps to Blogging

If you are blogging just to blog and have an online web log, there is nothing really you need to do for beginning steps to blogging except to build your blog and start blogging.  Of course you need to pick your blogging format, title and a theme etc, but those are the easy steps.

Now, if you are trying to blog to make money, the beginning steps to blogging are a little more complicated.  I feel like I can never get past the beginning steps because I keep starting over and keep reading at my favorite forum instead of being focused and just doing the work.

So I will start listing what I am doing for work and have a way to check if I am slacking off by reading my logs.  This way I will also see … what, if anything, is holding me up from moving forward, since I seem to get stuck here and there while building my blogs.

This weekend I have began to build 5 blogs.  Right now as I write this, I am trying to find blogger templates for the last two of the 5 blogs.  4 of the new blogger blogs will be for "products" while the 5th blogger blog is going to be for blogging about those products.  So those need different beginning steps to blogging setups to plan out for the blog.

To set up a "product" blogger blog, I need to make a web page look vs a blog looking site that is as professional looking as possible.  The 5th blog to just blog on I do not have to be so picky with the details as I create that blog,

The very first thing I do to all my blogs is to think of a title, preferable with my "keywords" in it.  (sometimes this is tough when building blogger blogs) and then picking a theme for them.

Of course, I can't pick a theme for them if I don't pick a blog format.  I usually build a main Wordpress blog and have it spawn off from there with blogger blogs.  So, I need themes for both forms of blogs.  Earlier I stated this was one of the easy steps and it should be … but for me, this one step takes the longest.  So many themes to choose, so little time.  Although at the time of reaching this paragraph, I now have all the themes I need for my 5 blogs I built.  WOOO HOOO

There you have it.  Once I know what I want to blog about, I pick my blog format, think of a title for the blog and then find an appropriate theme for the blog.  Those are my beginning steps to blogging, what are yours?

best blog format?

What is the best blog format?

In this post I am going to compare Wordpress.org, Wordpress.com and blogger blogs.  I have used all three and want to share my thoughts on them.  I love Wordpress … self hosted of course.  Why?  It gives me the most control, is the most reliable and is the most flexible.  When blogging to make money, those three factors are important.

Wordpress.com is free which is nice, the not so nice part is they suspend blogs on a whim.  This is a problem when attempting to build a blog to make money.

Blogger is also free and great for Adsense blogs.  Plus there are some really nice themes available to use for them.  Sometimes blogger blogs even get suspended if they are appear spammy which again is a problem when building a blog to make money.  Although this happens less frequent then Wordpress.org.

Due to all your hard work possibly disappearing in a second with both Blogger and Wordpress.com, I do not consider them the best blog formats when building a blog to make money.

The best blog format is definitely the self-hosted Wordpress blogs that you can do as you like and you can publish what you want.  The self hosted Wordpress.org blogs have a huge variety of plugins (mostly free but some paid) that are available and do anything and everything imaginable to improve your blog.  Also, it is very easy to get a "website" look and feel vs a blog look and feel if you want to.

You do need to get a domain and hosting for Wordpress.org blogs which costs a little money.  It just proves the old saying," you need to spend money to make money."

I don't use Wordpress.com at all anymore due to them shutting down my blogs for unknown reasons.  I do still use blogger though and post content on there that points to my self hosted Wordpress blogs.

I think if you ask anyone who has used many different blog platforms, you will always get the same answer … self hosted Wordpress.org blogs are the best blog format to use.

Which is the best blog format to you?

Blog To Make Money

Hi!

Glad you dropped by. I have been sharing "the plan" for blogging to make money. As I mentioned, I am on a journey to prove this can be done.

At this point, past posts explained what I doing as far as keywords, niche selection, blog creation and the all important formula to successful blogging.

I also vented about blogs that annoy me using certain methods to make money and explained the annoying things that will not be included on any of MY blogs.

So, what WILL be on my blogs? GREAT INFORMATION along with even more great information. My website visitors will be pleased with what they find when they surf over to my blog. Plus, it will be user friendly, meaning easy to navigate and give them what they want.  Readers do not just read, they want information that they can use. They surf web to learn new ideas and look for solutions to problems.

I am already beginning to make blog posts to my money making blog. I will be setting up my methods for earning cash soon. For now, I want to start getting the site listed in search engines by creating some posts.

The keywords I use on my post will be based on the content I deliver to my website visitors. I aim to make the blog posts as informative and helpful as possible. The only way to do that is to give my website visitors the content they expected to see when clicking over to my blog from the search engine results they received.

That will be the majority of what will be included on my blog to make money. Of course I will also be selling something. At this point I will be an affiliate of a product I trust for my earnings.

I also plan to "build a list" of optin subscribers to my monthly newsletter. In there I will also offer my "affiliate product" on the messages along with a product I plan to build from scratch. (sorta) We'll get into that.

Why am I not using Adsense etc??? There are lots of those types of things to earn a little here and there but personally, I don't care for them. I try not to send my visitors away to other sites. I work hard to get them to my site … the last thing I want to do is send them to someone else so my visitors end up buying something from them after all my hard work.

I have a hard time understanding why any internet marketer would use such methods that would send their visitors away to someone else.

So, there you have it … while I blog to make money, I will keep my visitors as interested in my site as I can by offering them fantastic useful information. How? WITH USEFUL GREAT CONTENT.

While my visitors stick around enjoying what they see, I will plan on the statistically proven 2% to buy the affiliate product I offer them along with some of them becoming signups to my newsletter.  The newsletter will be a money maker later too with my very own product.

I think my own product is the best method for anyone trying to blog to make money. I'll explain more of that as we go. That's all for now, laters!

Annoying Make Money Blogs

Sorry there hasn't been any posts "how to easily blog for money", I was slacking for the last few days. I feel like I have a cold coming on and just wanted to relax and just play poker for a few days. I’m still feeling pretty sick but need to get some work done here.

I want to mention a few things about me building a blog to make money. As I look at other blogs there are certain things that just outright annoy me. Those annoying things, even though some are proven to work, will NEVER EVER be on ANY of my blogs!!!

What are those annoying things? Those would be things like “flashy” banners for starters. I guess many internet marketers think everyone has “shiny object” syndrome since some blogs are just overloaded with these darn things.

More annoying things on blogs being built to make money are … those darn “snap shot” popups on certain words within the blog content. I really really really hate those. Don’t you just hate those too? Always getting in the way of looking at content I want to read.

Oh and what about … as soon as you get to a blog, there is a popup to subscribe to their newsletter etc … I refuse to even read ANYTHING on those blogs … since I didn’t get a change to review the content then decide if I want to optin to their list. I mean really, give me a chance to peruse your information then ask me to sign up, geeze. Some of them have no way of closing the “subscribe now” window to view the content at all … when I run into those, I say "who is the DUMB A** that built this blog to make money?"

There are so many overloaded advertising blogs out there. I’ve seen some with a small paragraph of worthless information and tons of Google Adsense all over them. Have you seen those? If not, you are lucky. I’d be willing to bet you have seen them and know what I am talking about though.

Let’s not forget about those blogs that never let you to leave their page … I think I hate these the most. As you go to “x” the page out, you hear “WAIT” and a popup of “do you really want to leave this page” message. Some of them will even keep popping up as you keep trying to leave. I don’t care how good the info was on that blog, I will never return due to the annoying attempt to keep me there.

Now that we know what I won’t be putting on my blog to make money, next time I will go over what I will be putting on my blog. See you then!

Building My Blog

Hi …

I am now building my blog to make money.  I have an idea of the keywords I will be using, but still need to do a lil more keyword research.  As I mentioned before, this does take some time to get it done right.

It is a wordpress blog that I have a domain name for.  I have set up my favorite plugins that I use and adjusted all the settings to optimize the blog the best way possible.  I also added one post so far … I still have a long ways to go though.  I'm predicting it'll take at least six months to establish myself with Google and other search engines.

I also quickly set up a few blogger blogs to go along with this blog.  HELP I'm going blog crazy!  I do love building blogs and can't seem to stop.  Feel free to check out the blog to this blog or contact me to build a blog for you.  I'll even touch up your existing blog if you already have a blog that needs a little help.

In the mean time, I'm off again to keep building my blog to make money and will report back soon.  'Till then … Laters.

TIP: There is a rule of thumb when posting blog content on a blog to make money … stick to 80 percent valuable content to 20 percent sales messages. (I will be following this rule)
